Research groups

A research group consists of members from various departments at the hospital, and may have associated members externally.

All research groups have a leader, the research group leader is usually a professor or senior researcher with permanent employment at the hospital or the University of Oslo.

The manager has professional responsibility for the project portfolio in the group, preparing long-term objectives and contributing to:

  • prepare new project applications
  • establish contacts with regional, national and international environments
  • make the project's results visible and profiled
  • create meeting places for the members of the research group
  • collaborate with related projects
